According to the adopted housing standards, the residential complex of Al-Kafeel is made with low costs but not with low characteristics ..

During a meeting to see what is reached by Al-Kafeel's residential project, the head of the engineering projects in Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the Engineer Diaa Majeed As-Sa'egh has announced to Al-Kafeel's network :
"The work in Al-Kafeel's residential complex for housing the employees of Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine progresses considerably, which is a positive indicator for the work-flow of this project that features began to be clearly apparent. It became the centre of admiration to whoever visits its services that are worthy of servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The residential complex is a significant leap forward in Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine's projects, from all aspects; architecture, modernity and proposed services, so it turned to be a model in its modern architecture, its harmony with the contemporary urban style and its respect of the Iraqi spirit. it is in deed a complex at low cost but not with low specifications . "

And about the most important steps reached by the project, Mr As-Sa'egh explained :
"The project is being carried out by Hiran and Kiradi company, and according to a studied architecture plan is divided into (39 parts), the overall percentage of project's completion has reached approximately (40%) which is more than what it was planned, and this shows the eagerness of Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to complete this project as soon as possible, without any negative impact on its technical and engineering specifications" .
He added :
"The foundations' phase has reached the percentage of (80%) representing ( 633 House's foundations), the percentage of those that reached the ceiling is( 39%) so ( 306 Houses) , and the houses that has been roofed are (220 houses) with a percentage of (27%). And in regard to the houses in the post- ceiling phase, they reached 17% so ( 166 Houses )"

And Mr. As-Sa'egh stated: " We provided the project with a factory for producing cement blocks, (10000) ten thousand blocks are produced on a daily base inside the project site.
In addition to that, the company brought inside the site another factory, in order to produce the mosaic which will be used at the final stages of the project. Beside that, we signed the contract for the full amount of the ceramic walls of kitchens and bathrooms.. "

As for the infrastructure work for the project, the advisory office of the residential complex has made extraordinary efforts to provide the project with electricity, water and link it to the sewer system after the ratification of the plans of those projects. "

It is noteworthy that the project will be built on an area of (305,000 m2) representing horizontally (829 houses) with its infrastructures, streets and services, health and education's buildings, all belonging to the complex, which is strategically located midway between the provinces of Najaf and Babylon, on the road linking both (Babylon - Karbala) and (Najaf - Karbala),
After making all official transactions for the ownership, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine got the acquisition of this land that is a dedicated area for housing under the urban plan of the holy city of Karbala, and which is approved by the Ministry of municipalities and public works in Iraq.
