The Department between the Two Holy Shrines contributes to the landscaping of the streets of the Old City

The Department between the Two Holy Shrines at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine contributed to the rehabilitation of some streets leading to the Old City of Karbala.

The assistant head of the Department between the Two Holy Shrines; Sayed Ahmad Shaker Hashem, told The News Center, "according to the directives of the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, we have started the rehabilitation of the surrounding streets leading to the Old City, and the Bab al-Khan area specifically."

Hashem added, " the work started this morning by planting a number of trees on Imam al-Hassan Street (peace be upon him) and Al-Meezan Street, as well as the area and gardens between the two holy shrines, in addition to planting some ornamental trees to soften the atmosphere and create a view befitting the area between the Two Holy Shrines and the Holy Karbala in general."

According to Hashem,"some streets will be provided with lighting to look more aesthetic, so columns carrying lanterns will be installed on the streets leading to the area between the Two Holy Shrines".
