A group of students of the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Ameed University organized a charitable humanitarian initiative to distribute material aid and assistance to a group of needy families in a number of areas of Karbala.
This comes within the annual plan of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the University in coordination with the educational mentors.
According to the mentors, the initiative coincided with the sad martyrdom anniversary of Our Lady of the women of the worlds Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the Fatimi days, as a group of third-stage students at the Faculty of Medicine have been buying clothes and some basic needs of families and arranging them to be presented to them in a number of neighborhoods of the city.
The aim of this visit was to strengthen the spirit of cooperation, activate the humanitarian aspect and the students' sense of responsibility towards them, because the medical profession is one of the professions that requires a feeling and a sense of empathy, according to the mentors.
