Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad starts construction of Al-Wafa residential complex for its fighters

The Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad has started the construction of the Al-Wafa residential complex for its fighters in Wasit governorate.

The commander of the Division; Sayed Maitham al-Zaidi, said that "the project consists of two hundred and thirty-one housing units, and is implemented by the International Lewa company of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, according to the agreed conditions to come up with a model residential complex suitable for those who responded to the fatwa of holy defense and their families".

He added that "the holy shrine and the squad have a common strategy, which is the establishment of complexes and houses for heroic fighters and families of martyrs, because they are more important and more effective than the distribution of land plots, and this comes in implementation of the directives of the supreme authority; Sayed al-Sistani, to care and take care of the families of martyrs, wounded and fighters.

According to al-Zaidi, the project includes a number of governorates, including Basra, Babylon, Salah al-Din, Baghdad, Najaf al-Ashraf and Karbala, and this complex in Wasit province is the first of these projects.
Regarding the specifications of the complex, al-Zaidi explained that "it includes a health center, schools and a kindergarten, as well as parks, playgrounds, commercial markets and a police station, and all the requirements needed by the modern complex, in addition to building it with high specifications, and the area of each house will be 200 square meters, and the construction area is not less than 150 to 162 square meters approximately. The project is implemented in an investment way so that the prices are appropriate for beneficiaries."
