Closing of the Twelfth Annual Martyrdom Festival

The activities of the Annual Martrydom Festival concluded its twelfth edition at Wasit University, which was organized by several institutions in cooperation with the holy shrines, including the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine.

The events included the holding of morning and evening seminars, the opening of the book and precious materials exhibition of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine, the flowers exhibition and Quranic forums, in addition to the establishment of an international conference in which more than 60 researchers from Iraqi and Arab universities and research centers participated.

The staff of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated with a number of lecturers from the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, who gave lectures to college students on religious and ideological issues, amid great interaction of the students with the scientific and dialogue materials provided to them.

The festival, which lasted for twelve days, witnessed the performance of a play that embodied the injustice of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), to highlight her blessed biography.
