The Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced reaching advanced achievement rates in the work of the project of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
The head of the Department, engineer Dia al-Saegh, said that"the project, which has reached its final stages, went through a complex construction process in implementation, but it was completed by planting concrete pillars at a depth of 12 meters underground and the construction of the basement".
He added,"We started the second phase of the project, which includes the installation of systems, especially since the basement inside the holy shrine needs cooling, ventilation, extinguishing and fire alarm systems as it is completely closed and reserved for women, and this phase was completed by installing all of them, as well as the finishes that include glass and mosaic on the ceiling, and decorating the walls with Quranic verses engraved on the Alabaster using the CNC. And thus the completion rate reaches 95 percent".
The coming days will witness the installation of the holy grid inside the basement, according to al-Saegh, stressing that the completion of the project and its opening will be before the holy month of Ramadhan.
