In the Hall of Imam Musa Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) in the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the activities of the first conference of safeguarding and reviving the written heritage, held by the Library and House of Manuscripts at Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, under the theme: (Keep your books, you will need them ) ended.
The closing ceremony started directly after the discussion session with the reading of the special recommendations that were presented by the member of the scientific committee of the festival, Dr. Zaynul' Abedeen Musa Aal Jaafar, which were as follows:
First: In order to facilitate the optimal scientific way to improve and revive the written heritage, it is recommended to facilitate the work of specialists in this field and to help them access to manuscripts in a smooth and professional way without any complexity.
Secondly, to provide the necessary support to the manuscripts Centres, like for the training, maintenance supplies, printing and imaging, in addition to the care of the needed scientific efforts, as well as trying to raise awareness and educate the new generation of the importance of the Islamic heritage.
Third, find a case of cultural coordination and joint work between the institutions of knowledge on the one hand and between individual researchers on the other.
Fourth, work on the introduction of lessons of manuscripts revision within the instructional system
Fifth, an annual award for the best revised text for the perpetuation of scientific competition in this field.
Sixth, the set up of photographs of some important manuscripts as a call for specialists to participate in the upcoming conference, as well as the willingness of the library and house of manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to cooperate with its capabilities to maintain the written heritage, from conservation, restoration, photography, treatment and publishing with public and private institutions and individuals for the sake of science and scientists.
Seventh, holding this conference annually and let it be international to ensure Islamic scientific communication between institutions specialized in written heritage and manuscripts.
Followed by a closing word presented by Sayed Noureddeen Al-Moosawi the director of the Library and House of the Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy Shrine, where he tanked the distinguished presence and all the efforts that have been made to the success of this first conference. At the end, appreciation certificates were distributed to some of those present.
