Intellectual Affairs Department examines with the Imam Ali's (p) Holy Shrine the documentation of crimes against holy shrines

A delegation from the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the Imam Ali's (p) Holy Shrine discussed the crimes committed against the holy shrines in Iraq.

The director of the Iraqi Center for the documentation of extremist crimes of the Department; Dr. Abbas al-Quraishi, said that "the Center is working to document the violations and crimes to which the holy shrines were subjected, considering that these violations are part of the history of Iraq and it is necessary to document and study them, in order to prevent their repetition on the one hand and preserve memory from falsification and distortion on the other hand."

According to al-Quraishi, the Center discussed "ways of joint cooperation with the Imam Ali's (p) Holy Shrine, especially in documenting the crimes committed against the holy shrines, at the hands of the leaders of the Baath or extremist Takfiri groups".
