The completion of the installation of the grid's bases and the start of the installation of the roses on the wooden structure of the sanctuary's grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) ..

“After the completion of the installation of lower bases of the new grid on its wooden structure, the installation of the bases' roses has began according to the plan of the installation of the new holy grid's parts set by the factory of the grids manufacture of holy shrines and sanctuaries belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, which is responsible for the manufacture and installation of all parts of the new grid of the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) executed exclusively by Iraqi workforce.”

This was the statement of the director of the factory, the goldsmith Raad Hussein Al-Khafaji to the Al-Kafeel Network, who added: “The work of installing the parts of the holy grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) is rising at a good pace in both sections: the manufacturing (the completion of the rest of the parts of the grid) and the installation (the installation of the ready parts on the wooden structure), two processes that are conducted in parallel in order to complete this blessed project as soon as possible, where the precision and technology used in the manufacturing of the parts of the sanctuary’s new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) are the first of their kind not only in Iraq, but in all countries specialized in the shrines' grids industry.”

He added: "The number of these parts is of 18 Roses that will be installed under the side columns' bases and on both sides of the holy grid's bases, with a new way of installation that is totally different from all mechanisms used previously in any grid's installation. And this is one of the features that characterized our project, as the thickness of each rose is 2.5 mm, an increase of two and a half on the thickness of the old roses, with new carving and ornament. "

Mr. Al-Khafaji said : "Praise to Allah the Almighty and the blessing of our Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the rest of the holy shrine's parts has been manufactured according to the highest specifications and the finest craftsmanship, while their thickness is characterized by its strength, resistance and durability, thanks to its raw material manufactured of 999 calibre of pure silver, mixed with a 2% of 24 carat gold in order to give it a specific lustre and to prolong its lifetime. Then the skilled Iraqi craftsmen have melted pure silver with net gold, a special procedure followed by the filing, soldering, sawing, forging, casting, and polishing the manufactured parts."

It is to mention that the new grid of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was manufactured in the workshops of the crafts' factory belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with high quality, durability and accuracy. In fact it is the first grid which is entirely manufactured in Iraq with Iraqi handicrafts-men. It is also characterized by the originality of its engravings and decorations in addition to the fact that it keeps the same overall structure and engravings of the old one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the holy shrines in Iraq and in the Islamic world.
