The model Sidr farm supplies the local markets with distinctive varieties of its fruits

The staffs of the typical Sidr farm belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, started harvesting the harvest of Sidr fruits of various distinctive types from the farm and put it on the local markets.

The farm manager, Mr. Amir Hussein Abd Aoun, said:"the staffs of the farm have started harvesting the harvest of Sidr fruits (ziziphus) of various good and rare varieties."

He added," We have provided the local markets with these fruits, as they are marketed through Al-Kafeel Centers for direct sale and Alwa Karbala, "indicating "we have the ability and possibility to export the product to other provinces."

The Sidr model farm is one of the agricultural projects established by the holy shrine to increase green spaces in the province of Karbala, reduce the damage of desertification and contribute to the spread of the cultivation of some plants, the introduction of some distinctive varieties and their localization, according to Abd Aoun.
