Sayed al-Safi honors the winner of the second place in the Katara International Quran recitation competition

The Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, honored the winner of the second place in the Katara international competition for reciting the Holy Quran, Haj Osama al-Karbalai.

During his reception, Sayed al-Safi stressed that the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine supports all Quranic talents, and also urged to continue participating in international Quranic competitions to raise high the name of Iraq and the Shrine.

His Eminence stressed that Quranic courses should not only focus on the recitation and interpretation of the Qur'an, but should take a wider space and focus on jurisprudence, beliefs and ethics, to be more comprehensive and integrated.

For his part, al-Karbalai said that "the honor came after I won the second place in the Katara international competition, which was held in the state of Qatar with the participation of more than (70) countries".
The ceremony was attended by the member of the board of Directors of the holy shrine; Sayed Jawad Al-Hasnawi, and the head of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran; Dr. Mushtaq al-Ali.
