Al-Kafeel University concludes the mahdouya Tent Festival

Al-Kafeel University of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concluded the activities of the Mahdawi Tent Festival in the Hall of Scholar Naseer al-Din al-Tusi.

The festival was held in cooperation with the Center for specialized studies about Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).

The closing ceremony began with a reading of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by the university presidency delivered by the director of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department at the University; Dr. Hossam al-Obeidi, and followed by a speech by the festival official; Sayed Jafar al-Qabanji, thanking the University's cooperation, interest and great support in making the festival's success, consolidating the culture of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah Almighty hasten his holy reappearance) among the university circles.

The ceremony included a speech by Sheikh Zaman al-Hasnawi, in which he addressed the status of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their great status in the Holy Quran, explaining that "there is no doubt that the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) represent the Justice of the Quran and one of the two weights referred to by the Great Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) in many Hadiths."

During his speech, Al-Hasnawi directed the group of students to learn and read religious and cultural books to arm themselves from the sciences of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and address the dilemmas of sedition.

At the end of the ceremony, the contestants participating in the Mahdawi tent competitions, its sections and programs were honored by the University and the center with gifts in kind, and shields of appreciation; in honor of their active contributions.
