Conclusion of the national competition for the UCMAS program

The activities of the national competition held in Iraq, related to the Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System (UCMAS), with the participation of more than 5,000 students of Al-Ameed Educational Group Schools, have concluded.

The program was organized by Al-Fikr Al-Hadef Educational Company in cooperation with the Al-Ameed Educational Group of the Department of Education and Higher Education at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine.

"The program is considered one of the enrichment programs used in the latest international schools, as more than 5,000 students participated in the competition, including 2,500 students from the primary stage, who competed for two consecutive days, and on the third day 105 students won the first places," said Mustafa Mohammed Bashar, the official of the activities division in the Department.

He added that"the aim of the competition is to raise and invest children's mental abilities, qualify them to participate in international competitions and forums, strengthen mathematics and arithmetic in the school curriculum, increase speed and accuracy and lay the foundation for academic creativity in the future".

For his part, the authorized director of Al-Fikr Al-Hadef Educational Company; Mr. Na'el Mahmoud al-Jaberi, said that "the national competition is held for the first time in Iraq by the Company, and the mechanism of the competition is that the student has to answer within eight minutes to 100 questions correctly.
