Based on the desire of visitors and stands' officials: The announcement of the extension of the Tenth International Book Fair of Karbala ..

The Preparatory Committee that is overseeing the Tenth International Book Fair of Karbala, currently taking place at the courtyard of Saint Zaynab (peace be upon her), and which is organized within the events of the Tenth International Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom's Spring, has declared the extension of the period of the exhibition until Monday (10 Shaaban 1435 AH) corresponding to (June 9, 2014 AD) .

The extension of the exhibition's period came as a result of the high turnout on the exhibition as well as the increasing demand by visitors and officials of the participating stands from the different Iraqi, Arab and foreign publishing houses, and to provide a greater opportunity for all visitors (especially those who couldn't visit it in previous days) to benefit from the books and all the displayed publications in this exhibition, especially since the arrival of quantities of books with important titles, that were not available in the early days of the exhibition.

It is noteworthy that the Karbala International Book Fair is one of the events of the International Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom's Spring organized and funded integrally by the General Secretaries of both Holy Shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) since its inception nine years ago, to commemorate the birth of the grandson of our saint Prophet (May Allah pray on him and his pure lineage) Imam Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-abbas (peace be upon them).

The participating countries in the Book Exhibition are 11 Arab and foreign countries, namely: (Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Morocco, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran, USA and UK) with different disciplines and fields, thus the participation did not include only religious books, but also the academic, cultural and scientific areas as well as those related to children and women, so the exhibition would be integral and comprehensive in terms of title and specialization, with 175 publishing houses.
