A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala has successfully treated a child suffering from chronic pain in the hip area.
The hospital's interventional radiology specialist, Dr.Ali Mohammed Jalil, stated that "the 7-year-old child was suffering from chronic pain in the pelvis on the left side due to the presence of a benign bone tumor, which necessitated an operation using a modern thermal cauterization method with an opening that did not exceed (2) millimeters".
He added that the tumor was in the neck of the femur and is considered one of the difficult places surgically, and there may be problems and complications in case of resorting to surgery".
According to Dr. Jalil, the operation was completely successful, and the child left the hospital in good health, pointing out that "the presence of modern technologies in the hospital, including a microwave device, helped to complete the treatment of this case".
