In response to appeal of the Supreme Religious Authority: spontaneous demonstrations have been launched from the courtyard of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)..

On Friday afternoon 14th Sha'ban 1435 AH corresponding to 13th June 2014, a spontaneous demonstration started from the courtyard of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), inspired by the spirit of strength, courage and sense of legitimacy and moral responsibility in the task of defending the homeland and its holy Islamic places, which are threatened by a group of terrorists coming from behind the borders.

The text of the Friday's sermon was read from the top of the minarets of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which showed the position of the Supreme Religious Authority represented by Sayed Ali Al-Hussaini Al-sistani, answering the questions received by the Office of His eminence about volunteering in the ranks of the Army and the homeland's defence.

As soon as the sermon of Friday finished, crowds set off from under the dome of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), with an enthusiastic spirit and an unprecedented rush to meet the call of the religious authority for the defence of the homeland, and with a vigour and determination inspired by the bearer of the flag of Imam Al-Hussayn, Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them), chanting Hussayni cheers with the slogan "Hayhat minna dhellah" / "Far from us is disgrace" and walking towards the courtyard between the holy shrines ending at the holy shrine of the Father of the Free; Aba Abi Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
