The Department of Intellectual Affairs holds a Quranic competition in Senegal

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine held a Quranic competition in the Senegalese capital Dakar, as part of the (Al-Kafeel Sofra) program organized in the African continent.

The competition is supervised by the Center for African Studies of the Department.

"We have organized the first Quranic competition for students of the Holy Quran who are followers of the Ahl Al-Bayt school (peace be upon them),"said the representative of the Center in Senegal, Sheikh Mustafa Diba.

He added that "the number of participants in the competition reached 40 students, amid a large presence from various regions in the capital, including the governor of Dakar, Mrs. Amna Menegh, the mayor of Dakar, imams of Masjids and professors of the Holy Quran in it".

He pointed out that"the competition carries a message of love between Muslims and their different communities, and their interconnection and cooperation on righteousness and piety at the table of the Holy Quran, which is the Constitution of the entire Islamic nation".

For his part, the president of the Bait al-Ezza Association for the Holy Quran, Sheikh Abdellatif Jeen, thanked and appreciated the Center for its great efforts, and its important impact in consolidating the love of the Holy Quran in the souls of the people of Senegal,"he said.
