A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has successfully treated a baby boy suffering from a congenital malformation of the larynx.
A specialist in ear, nose and throat surgery, Dr. Adel al-Masoudi said: "The child was born with a congenital malformation of the larynx, weak cartilage and shortness of breath, and for seven months of his life he suffered from laryngitis, chest and suffocation repeatedly, and his condition usually required hospitalization."
He added that"the child's condition required an operation to repair the laryngeal deformity, and we succeeded thanks the experience of the medical team, the assistant and modern medical techniques, including endoscopes and lasers".
According to Dr. al-Masoudi, such operation is very accurate and took place as planned without any complications, which is important, because it ended the suffering of the child and his parents and gave him a chance to live normally like his peers.
