The head of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali, revealed the holding of more than five thousand events in the holy month of Ramadhan.
This was stated in a speech delivered by Mr. al-Ali at the closing ceremony of the third Quranic competition for memorization and interpretation for students of Iraqi universities and institutes.
The head of the scientific complex said that "the holy shrines, especially the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine, have worked to restore those institutions and activate the project of spreading the noble Quranic culture, through the formation of the scientific complex of the Holy Quran concerned in achieving this goal in its various forms through the centers that have spread in our dear country".
He added that "the Holy Quran is the closest approach to achieving the optimal goals, so the religious institutions that put their first priorities on building the human being sought to achieve this goal".
He explained that"the scientific complex of the Holy Quran presented more than 5000 events in the holy month of Ramadhan, distributed over 200 activities targeting 13,000 people in 12 provinces".
According to the head of the complex, the Holy Quran Institute in Najaf has a good and distinguished share of activities, the most prominent of which is the recording of a full recited Khatmah of the Holy Quran performed by students of religious sciences,"he said.
"Among those activities that the Institute seeks to activate is the Quranic project in universities and institutes in Najaf, because it works to provide Quranic services in the Najaf community, whether for the general or the academic community,"he added.
He continued by saying that the third edition of the Quranic project was marked by the activation of two issues that were achieved last year, namely recitation and interpretation, as the competition is concerned with memorization and recitation, but what distinguishes this activity is the focus on the interpreted recitation, because most of those who recite verses with a chanting voice may not understand what they are reading, so we have been working since last year to activate this goal".
"The second thing that distinguished this competition is digital judging so that the results are fast and accurate at the same time,"he added.
