The Department of the Al-Kafeel Museum of antiquities and manuscripts held its seventh seminar on its role in historical and academic documentation, on the occasion of world museums day.
The head of the Department, Mr. Sadiq Lazim, said that"the seminar aims to read the role of the museum in the historical aspect, and what it has given to history, especially about the Blessed Husseini revolution, and the role of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in this great legendary epic, while the academic side revolved around the studies presented through the holdings held by the museum".
He added that "the aim of the seminar is to highlight the role of the museum in the dissemination of museum culture, as it has always opened its doors to students of academic studies to write research, as the museum has important and historical Holdings, documenting many aspects of different and comprehensive eras not limited to the history of Iraq only".
In the same context, Dr. Haidar Farhan Hussein from the University of Baghdad stated that "the university has more than twenty research titles that have been studied, at the level of research, master's theses and doctoral theses from the collections of the Al-Kafeel museum, changed a lot of historical points of view and added a lot of new theories, which were not known in previous periods and this is a great achievement for the Al-Kafeel Museum".
