Al-Ameed University organizes a graduation ceremony for students of the Faculty of Medicine

Al-Ameed university organized, on Saturday, a graduation ceremony of the first batch of students of the Faculty of Medicine at the University for the current academic year 2022-2023.

The ceremony was attended by the director of the Office of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, the chairman of the Higher Education Authority, Dr. Abbas Rashid al-Mousawi, a number of heads of departments of the holy shrine, the president of the University, Dr. Moayyed Al-Ghazali and the advanced staff at the University in addition to the families of students.

The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran, the reading Surat al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and then the national anthem and the "Pride's Tune" anthem, followed by a speech by the general secretariat of the holy shrine delivered by a member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine, Dr. Abbas al-Mousawi, in which he stressed that " the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has allocated countless intellectual and cultural projects, encouraged innovation, embraced talents and believed in the minds of its Iraqi people to stimulate, enhance and encourage the perpetuation of innovation, pointing out that "the faces of Service adopted by the holy shrine are numerous, and one of the most beautiful of those faces remains education; it is something to be proud of, as it was at the heart of its vision, mission and goals".

For his part, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Ameed University, Dr. Rahim Mahdi, said that "the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Ameed University, along with other Iraqi universities, has maintained the scientific and humanitarian level, and its results will be sought in the coming days through the distinguished health service provided by its graduates".

He stressed that"the university is keen to graduate a doctor who carries science and humanity, which we provide to society and carries a distinctive imprint at the level of Iraqi universities, namely the imprint of the Al-Ameed University affiliated to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine."
