The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine recalled the biography of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) and his role in spreading the sciences of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), in the Nigerian city of Nasarawa.

A mourning council was held supervised by the African Studies Center of the Department on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him), and witnessed the presence of a large gathering of followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The coordinator of the Center, Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah al-Tayeb, who organized the council, explained in his lecture the great efforts made by Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) in spreading the sciences of the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and the establishment of a great university that exists today and is a reference for all Islamic doctrines.

In his lecture delivered at the Majlis, the preacher described the signs of terrorism that Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) was subjected to during his Imamate at the hands of the rulers of the authority, which ended in his martyrdom at the end of the month of Shawwal.
