Al-Kafeel Hospital successfully removes a cancerous tumor for a young man in the third decade of life

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala successfully performed an operation to remove a cancerous tumor from the parotid gland of a young man in the third decade of life.

"We performed a successful operation on a 36-year-old man who was suffering from a tumor in the parotid gland, and after conducting the necessary tests, it turned out that the tumor is located on the facial nerve,"said Dr. Radwan al-Taie, a specialist in maxillofacial surgery at the hospital.

"The tumor was surgically removed without causing any damage to the facial nerve, through an opening in the side of the face so as not to damage the shape and aesthetics of the face while maintaining its functions, because it is a vital and effective element for the patient,"he added.

"This operation is complicated and is carried out in specialized centers, but Al-Kafeel hospital has the necessary medical expertise and technologies, enabling it to perform such distinctive operations,"al-Taie explained.
