The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine holds the central ceremony on the birth anniversary of Imam Redha (peace be upon him)

The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine held the central ceremony on the birth anniversary of Imam ar-Redha(peace be upon him), in the courtyard overlooking the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him).

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, director of the Office of the Senior Official, Dr. Abbas Rashid al-Mousawi, member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, and a number of department heads and employees, as well as the participation of a large number of visitors.

The festival began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Laith al-Obeidi, after which the Fatiha Surah was read out in memory for the souls of the righteous martyrs of Iraq, followed by the speech of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine delivered by Sayed Adnan Gelokhan from the Department of Religious Affairs, beginning with congratulations to those present on the birth anniversary of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him), in addition to the most prominent events that occurred in the life of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him), his knowledge, asceticism and piety, and also glimpses from the life of his sister; Lady Fatima Al-Ma'soomah (peace be upon her).

After that, the audience listened to a selection of poems by the poets of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), namely the poet Firas al-Asadi, Asil Al-Salami, Ghassan Al-Quraishi and Abu Muhammad Al-Mayahi, as well as there were chants presented by Ahmed al-Mousawi amid the atmosphere of joy that flooded the place, while visitors carried bouquets of flowers in this blessed birth.

The ceremony concluded with honoring the winners announced in advance in the contest of the birth anniversaries of Imam ar-Redha and his sister; Lady Fatima Al-Ma'soomah (peace be upon them), which was held by the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine earlier by the director of the Office of the Senior Official; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami".
