The closing events witnessed the presence of a number of members of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, heads of its departments and their assistants, as well as the participation of many religious, Hawza, official and academic figures from inside and outside Iraq.
The festival was organized by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, the Department of the al-Wafi foundation for documentation and studies, and the Al-Ameed scientific and intellectual Association, to celebrate the anniversary of the launch of the Holy Defense fatwa under the slogan: (religious authority is a fortress of the Islamic nation), on Imam al-Hassan Hall (peace be upon him).
The closing events included the speech of the preparatory committee of the festival and the announcement of the names of the winners of its poetry competition.
The activities of the Holy fatwa of Defense festival concluded its second day, honoring the three winners of the poetry competition of the festival by the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, in addition to honoring the judging committee and one of the researchers participating in the scientific workshop of the festival.
The festival kicked off its seventh edition on Thursday, the first of June, with various events starting from the opening session, which witnessed the delivery of a number of speeches and the screening of documentary films specific to the festival, followed by the establishment of an academic scientific conference for research and the announcement of winners in the festival competitions, including short films on fatwa and liberation battles, a poetry competition for important recommendations, to bring the curtain down on the festival in its seventh edition.
