A medical team at Al-Kafeel hospital succeeds in transplanting (3) coronary arteries to a patient's heart

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala has successfully transplanted three arteries to the heart of a patient in the seventh decade of life.

A specialist in cardiac surgery at the hospital, Dr. Ahmed Abd Muslim, said that"a patient visited us suffering from angina symptoms and after conducting the necessary tests, she was found to have a narrowing of the coronary arteries of the heart."

Abd Muslim explained, "We performed a surgical operation for the patient to have three coronary arteries transplanted to her heart, "stressing" the patient's health status is stable after the operation, and she can leave the hospital in good health."

The cardiac surgery specialist praised the capabilities of the hospital's Cardiac Surgery Center, pointing out that it is comparable to international specialized centers in terms of quality performance and logistical support.
