Al-Kafeel hospital: the success of a complex operation to remove a tumor from the lung and another from the back tissue

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala successfully removed a tumor from the lung and back tissue of a 55-year-old patient.

The specialist of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the hospital, Dr. Hassanein Moussawi, said, "the patient visited us suffering from the presence of a tumor in the right lung and another one under the back tissue outside the chest," indicating that "this tumor is a purulent cyst".

Al-Mousawi explained," We performed a chest opening operation for the patient, and removed the tumor from the lung with the tumor being removed under the back tissues by the same operation and without any complications, "stressing"the stability of the patient's health status after the operation and she left the hospital with her family."
