The head of the southern green belt Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine stressed the continuation of work to complete 24 green oases within the Southern Green Belt project in Karbala.
The head of the Department; Mr. Nasser Hussein Mit'ab, said that"the belt became clearly defined after the basic pillars were laid according to what was planned to be one of the places that represent an outlet for the people of Karbala governorate, and this came based on the support and guidance of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; His Eminence Sayed. Ahmad al-Safi".
He added that "work is continuing to complete 24 oases in the project to be prepared for the arrival of visitors, five of which are ready to receive visitors day and night, where we have completed the work and provided various amenities and entertainment, represented by zoos, corridors and seating areas, in addition to the establishment of a track to practice sports".
According to Mit'eb, "each Oasis carried a name from the names of the Ahl al-Bayt and their companions (peace be upon them), and the most important oasis in the belt is the Oasis of the waterskin of the Lord Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which contains a fountain enhanced with lighting, as well as providing other things that give the aesthetic of the project and comfort to visitors".
The 27-km-long belt project has reached good stages in terms of completion, according to Mit'eb.
