A delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine visited the Diyala Province on Sunday 6th of Shawwal 1435 AH, corresponding to the 3rd of August 2014, to attend a gathering of condolence for the martyrs from the village of "Khernabat" that have fallen in defence of the land and people of Iraq, leaving behind them the grandest scenes of heroism and sacrifice in defending the land of holy sites in their fight against the armed terrorist groups that crossed the borders, with the support of Arab and regional countries, in order to destabilize the security and stability of the country.

The families of the martyrs have expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for their visit that strengthens the ties and builds bridges of communication between the people of Iraq, being thankful at the same time for the great efforts undertaken by the holy shrine in the reception of the displaced families, providing them with food and adequate housing, in addition to its support of the armed forces in its fight against the criminal gangs that seek to stir up sectarian strife and to divide the country according to foreign agendas, stressing that most of these criminals came from behind the borders with the complicity of some criminals who, seek to wreak havoc and destroy Iraq, the land of Prophets.
