The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine commemorates the 91st anniversary of the demolition of the graves of the Imams of Al-Baqee' (peace be upon them)..

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine commemorated the 91st anniversary of the destruction of the graves of the Imams of Al-Baqee' (peace be upon them), on the 8th of Shawwal 1344 AH, by the Takfiri Wahhabi when they have seized the cities of Medina and Mecca.

Every year on this day the sorrows of the Shiites and lovers of the Prophet's family (peace be upon them) because of the demolition of the graves of the Imams buried in the Al-Baqee' cemetery, are renewed. These graves include the tomb of Imam Al-Hassan, Imam Ali Ibnu Al-Hussayn As-Sajjad, Imam Mohammed Al-Baqer and Imam Ja'far As-Sadiq (peace be upon them) in addition to the tombs of Om Al-Baneen (peace be upon her) and a number of companions and followers.

All corners of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine were covered with black expressing sorrow upon this tragedy, and as usual in the commemoration of the religious events, the servants, the board of directors of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) and head of its departments, headed in a condolence procession to the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), chanting with words of sorrow and grief and mourning what happened to the Imams (peace be upon them) in their lives and even after their death. The procession ended at the courtyard of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) with the participation of his servants.

Also a condolences Majlis was set up at the Guest Hall at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and included religious and mourning lecture speaking about the tragedy that happened 91 years ago, and which have left intense woe in the hearts of the believers, appealing at the same time the Saudi government to allow rebuilding the shrines of the pure Imams in Al-Baqee' cemetery, calling all Muslims around the world to protest in order to put pressure on Saudia Arabia so the shrines of our Imams (peace be upon them) stand back with their domes nearby the Masjid of our great prophet (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy household) to illuminate the sky of Medina.
