The German Institute in Berlin presents a rare image to the Al-Kafeel Museum of the al-Abbas's (p) Shrine

The German Institute in Berlin has donated a photograph of the shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) dating back to 1905 AH, to the Al-Kafeel Museum of the Treasures and Manuscripts.

The head of the Museum Department, Mr. Sadeq Lazem al-Zaidi, said that "the photograph was kept in the archives of the German Archaeological Institute in Berlin, and was presented by Dr. Margaret Van Ass, within the continuous cooperation with the Institute, and taken by Dr. Arnold Noldke in 1905, to be exhibited for the first time, specifically in the exhibition hall of the treasures and assets of the Al-Kafeel Museum inside the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine".

"The photograph shows part of the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and his minaret decorated with Qashan and part of the Taremah that is at the front of the entrance road to the holy shrine and decorated with oil lamps hanging for lighting,"he added.

"The photograph also shows a palm tree planted in the Holy Courtyard, behind which a group of visitors and servants of the holy shrine appear wearing the (Kashida) or (turban) and Arab attire,"he said.

The rare historical image was exhibited for the first time, along with photographs describing the history of the city of Master of martyrs (may Allah's prayers be upon him) at the Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, according to al-Zaidi.
