Great efforts made by the medical detachment of the Al-Abbas's Holy Shrine through providing medical and healing service to the displaced families..

The official of the medical detachment of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Mr. Muntadhar Mahmood Hadi announced the mobilization of all exertions to offer medical and healing services to the displaced families, through the provision of medicines, medical supplies, and healing all cases of diseases rapidly in order to reduce their spread between the families, especially since their number is large, and most of them are children, women and the aged.

He added: "We are working continuously with all our energies on providing all services to those families, in coordination with the Department of Health of Karbala, and thankfully we have an integrated team that has expertise in this field, as we provided vaccines for children and pregnant women, and we are working on the follow-up of special cases, which include the disabled and the aged, providing them with all what they need of medications and other requirements."

Noting: "These services are not confined solely to the displaced families, but we visit continuously along with the delegations of the holy shrine, the military units that include the volunteers, and which are stationed in the area of "Jorf Assakhr", "Annakheeb" and other places, in order to provide them with all the necessary medical and first aid services, in addition to our presence in the training centres that belong to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine."

It is to mention that out of its moral duty that goes along with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority to stand with the displaced families, the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has formed an ad hoc committee to oversee the reception of displaced people coming from the hotspots that witnessed killings and displacement, and works to create the accommodation necessities and living conditions, within the available means for this purpose. Noting that the number of the displaced people who were received, reached more than 18.000 people, mostly residents of the city of Tal-Afar who, were expelled for sectarian and confessional reasons.
