A journalist from the Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine receives an international certificate from the International Center for journalists (ICFJ)

The journalist in the Media Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Mr. Tariq Sahib al-Ghanemi, received an internationally accredited certificate from the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ).

"We were selected as part of the 2023 grant to the International Center for journalists, as part of its targeted international program (ENGAGE) on graphic journalism, and with the support of the meta journalism project, from among (100) people from the Middle East and North Africa, and there is another grant coming in succession,"said al-Ghanemi, an official of the Sada al-Rawdatayen magazine unit in the Media Department.

He added that"the training grant lasted for almost two months, and its study was (online), and aims to train journalists and creators with the skills and resources, technical support necessary to produce news stories and graphic reports, and high-quality investigative investigations in the Middle East and North Africa, according to a solid and in-depth database."

He explained that"the curriculum of the course included (10) intensive workshops and practical lessons, which guide beneficiaries to create journalistic projects and prepare reports with interesting graphic content".

"It is our pride and pleasure to be able to pass the training scholarship and obtain a certificate corresponding to the international standard of data journalism issued by the International Center for journalists (ICFJ), to benefit from it in our field of journalism, and to provide our services to the institution sponsoring success and creativity represented by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine,"al-Ghanemi said.
