The triangles of the new grid of the shrine of Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him): Precision and innovation in product type..

The personnel working in the factory for the manufacture of holy shrines and sanctuaries' grids that belongs to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, have made great and accelerated strides in manufacturing the rest of the parts of the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is in parallel with the work of installation of the completed parts, and among those pieces, there is these golden triangles that are located in the upper section of each part of the new grid.

According to the responsible of the mentioned factory, the goldsmith Ra'd Hussein Al-Khafaji who explained the following: "The craftsmanship and precision in the manufacture of the triangles are the most important features that characterized it, although all part of the holy grid need precision and craftsmanship, but the triangles need more and deeper floral engravings that are complexed and have small particles. Moreover, they are made of 22 carat pure gold that is not mixed with any other metal. which needs an extra effort in customizing and composing it."

Adding: "The golden triangles pass through several stages of manufacturing, such as the stage of the formation of patterns and motifs of gold on the asphalt, to extract the final engravings that have baghdadi Abbassi origins, with a thickness of 1,25mm, which is a high thickness to get the weight of five kg for each triangle, with a depth of 52 cm and a length of 77 cm."

It is to mention that we kept for the new grid the same overall structure and engravings of the current one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the whole world's holy shrines. Noting that the current grid was made in 1964 with funding from the supreme religious authority - at the time - The grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohsen Al-Hakeem. And, that the new grid of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was manufactured in the workshops of the crafts' factory belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with high quality, durability and accuracy. In fact it is the first grid which is entirely manufactured in Iraq with Iraqi handicrafts-men. It is also characterized by the originality of its engravings and decorations in addition to the fact that it keeps the same overall structure and engravings of the old one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the holy shrines in Iraq and in the Islamic world.
