On the morning of Monday of 28th Shawwal 1435 AH corresponding to the 25th of August 2014, a delegation from the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine accompanied by a number of fighter of the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) went to visit Salahuddin province, and specifically Samarra and Tikrit districts in the area of "Al-'ojah."
This visit comes within a series of visits held by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to the military units and the volunteers of the popular mobilization, who have answered the call of the Supreme Religious Authority for the Defence of Iraq, Iraqi people and its sanctities.
The delegation have met with a number of fighters, who are among the volunteers of the popular mobilization that are stationed in the area of "Al-'Ojah", in order to urge them to be patient and persistent in the battlefields to achieve victory over this misguided group.
The member of the delegation; Sheikh Adel Al-Karbalai has stressed on the fighters through his speech with them, to not differentiate between the Iraqis on a doctrinal or sectarian basis, and that their fight should be for Iraq and its people regardless of their origins, religions or sects, and to cut off the road in front of any person or entity that is trying to sow discord between the sons of Iraq.
The delegation then went to visit military units stationed in the vicinity of the city of Samarra, carrying with it some logistical assistance provided for a number of the units there.
For their part, the military forces showed a high combat resolution and a courageous spirit to defend the land of Iraq, and have commended the efforts made by the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) for submitting this support and bearing the difficult and dangerous road in order to support them in their war against the enemies of Iraq.
It is worth noting that the aim of these visits is to provide moral and logistic support for these units, as the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine proceeded to provide some dry food such as rice, pulses and vegetable oil in addition to mineral water and juices.
It is worth mentioning that both holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) and since the issuance of the advisory opinion (fatwa) of the Supreme Religious Authority for the sufficient duty (wujub Kifa'i) of jihad, begun to provide logistical support to the military segments of the army and volunteers, in addition to the displaced families from their home areas within the available resources. The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine also announced earlier its readiness to receive the Christian displaced families from the province of Ninawa.
