The Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine and the Arab academic union discuss ways to strengthen and consolidate mutual relations

The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine received the delegation of the Arab academic and technical Union and the two sides discussed ways to strengthen and consolidate mutual relations between them.

The delegation was received by the director of the Office of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami.

Mr. al-Shami reviewed to the visiting delegation the emergence of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and how it was managed after the year 2003, pointing out that the actual launch of Strategic and service projects began in 2008, and then started to develop until the number of its members reached 15 thousand employees, that is, it provided job opportunities for all of these.

Al-Shami added that"the projects of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine contributed to providing services to citizens in a number of fields, including the health field, which development had a great impact in ridding patients of the trouble of traveling abroad and the risks of being subjected to extortion and fraud, by bringing skilled doctors to Iraq".

The assistant secretary general of the union, Dr. Mortada al-Nouri, said that "the purpose of the visit is two matters, the first is to perform the Ziyarat rituals of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and the second is to consolidate and document the relationship between the Union and the holy shrine".

"During this visit, we discussed the possibility of benefiting from the services that some of us can provide to each other, pointing out that the holy shrine has extensive experience in several fields, for example, it gave lessons in investing and researching what is new in various fields,"he added.

For his part, one of the members of the Union delegation, Dr. Kadhem Karim al-Jaberi, thanked the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, and the staff working there for the warm reception and the wonderful organization, which would reflect the civilized and developed image of the Holy Shrine ".

He pointed out that "the visit was interspersed with a visit of the Al-Kafeel Museum, and we found that it contains treasures, ornaments and historical relics that reflect the true images of the rich ancient history of the city of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl Abbas (peace be upon them), which is part of the civilization of Iraq.
