The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's(p) Holy Shrine organized mourning councils at the Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) School in Nasrawah city in the Nigerian state of Kaduna.
The councils are supervised by the Department's Center for African Studies.
The director of the Center; Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that"the councils were attended by a gathering of lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), in which the director of the Center; Sheikh Ibrahim Musa, explained the importance of establishing Husseini councils for Muslims, and ways to benefit from them at the religious, ideological and moral levels and intellectual awareness."
He added that"the Center holds condolence councils in various African countries by organizing and coordinating their preachers, who give lectures to spread the oppression of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and to revive the hussayni rituals on the African continent".
Al-Shammari explained that"the programs and projects organized by the Center are carried out under the auspices and follow-up of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, who pays great attention to the reporting work and cultural and intellectual care in the countries of the continent".
