The Hussayni condolence processions raise the Holy Quran in their march

The Hussayni condolence processions raised in their marches in the month of Muharram, the Holy Quran to indicate their belonging to the Dear Book of Allah and to reject encroachment on its sanctity.

The head of the Department of Hussayni Rituals and Processions in Iraq and the Islamic world affiliated to the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them); Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said: "within its condolence marches this year, the hussayni processions and bodies in the holy city of Karbala were keen to raise the Holy Quran and the Iraqi flag to be an expression of the embodiment of love and belonging to the Holy Quran that is descended as mercy, peace, tranquility and peaceful coexistence for humanity."

"This initiatve comes in condemnation of the encroachment on its sanctity by a number of deviants, as well as raising the Iraqi flag to confirm belonging to it and refusing to encroach on it,"he added.

Al-Yasiri stressed that"the continued influx of condolence processions in the first ten days of the holy month of Muharram is proceeding smoothly from the early morning hours until late at night, according to a schedule prepared by the department".
