On the eighth of the month of Muharram, the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine recalls the martyrdom of al-Qasem (peace be upon him)

The general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with its annual condolence Council, recalled the martyrdom of al-Qasem son of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), on the ritual of the eighth of the month of Muharram.

The council was held in the presence of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; His Eminence Ahmad al-Safi, and a number of believers and visitors from inside and outside Iraq.

The preacher, Sayed Hisham al-Battat, said that "we had a talk about the personality of al-Qasem son of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon them), and what the poem he said on Ashura day means".

"The lecture included explaining the position of his father and uncle (peace be upon them), who has the same role in preserving and defending the true Islam,"he added.

The Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine has always continued its spiritual role in the holy city of Karbala and beyond, by preparing a special condolence and service program on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn Ibn Ali (peace be upon them), and recalling the sacrifices of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
