Karbala witnesses the start of the mourning ritual of Twayreej Run

The holy city of Karbala witnessed, at noon on the tenth day of the holy month of Muharram, the start of the mourning ritual of the Twayreej Run, with the participation of millions of mourners.

The ritual proceeded from the Qantara al-Salam area, which is four kilometers away from the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing through al-Jumhuriya Street to the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing the area between the Two Holy Shrines to enter the shrine of his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), amid great security and service preparedness and alert by the holy shrines ' staff.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine dedicated four doors for the visitors of the mourning ritual of Twayreej Run to enter the holy shrine out of nine, and five more for their exit.

The mourners enter through the gate of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), the gate of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon them), the gate of Imam Sahib Al-Zaman (may Allah Almighty hasten his holy reappearance) and the gate of Imam Musa al-Kadhem (peace be upon him), and these four gates were opened to ease the momentum in the area between the Two Holy Shrines.
