The Department of Intellectual Affairs holds a mourning Council for the tenth of the month of Muharram in Senegal

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, represented by the Center for African Studies, held a condolence Council in commemoration of Ashura in the Senegalese capital Dakar.

The director of the Center, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that"the director of the Center in the Senegalese capital Dakar, Sheikh Mustafa Diba, gave a lecture about the tragedy of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on the tenth day of the month of Muharram".

He added that " the Center organized dozens of condolence councils during the first ten days of the month of Muharram, with the aim of highlighting the details of this historical incident and its impact on the Islamic nation and the preservation of the authentic Mohammadian Islamic religion on the African continent.
