The Section of the Services Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine makes outstanding and exceptional efforts in order to provide services to the displaced families, which were received by the holy shrine since the start of the terrorist acts, which affected their areas in Ninawa and Kirkuk, forcing them to flee to the holy city of Karbala.

Al-Kafeel Network met with the member of the relief committee of the displaced, the official of watering unit in the Section of the Services Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine; Mr'Ahmed Hanoon who explained the following: "After the formation of the relief committee of the displaced, which operates under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the tasks and duties have been distributed to sub-committees emanating from this committee, in order to create the centralization of the work and distributed it in proportion with the numbers of the displaced received by the holy shrine. The section of the services affairs for its part, has formed integrated teams that have different assigned duties."

He added: "Among the most important duties entrusted to us, is to bring the ice and pure water (RO) from the factories of the holy shrine using special cars, for distributing them to the displaced families that inhabit currently in Hussaynyat within the city centre and beyond. Our section distributes also foodstuffs and fuel, as well as other necessities and requirements of the Hussaynyat or the family living in it."

Mr. Hanoon continued: "We work tirelessly and continuously over twenty-four hours, and all that we do for those families is our duty and, as we have the honour to serve the visitors of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), we also proud to have the honour of serving his lovers and followers."

It is to mention that out of its moral duty that goes along with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority to stand with the displaced families, the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has formed an ad hoc committee to oversee the reception of displaced people coming from the hotspots that witnessed killings and displacement, and works to create the accommodation necessities and living conditions, within the available means for this purpose.
