Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine finalizes the health plan for the Ziyarat Arba'een

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced the finalization of the health plan for the Ziyarat Arba'een, confirming full readiness to make this major Ziyarat a success.

Dr. Abbas al-Dadah al-Mousawi, a member of the board of Directors of the holy shrine, said during the second medical forum held by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, "since we are talking about the largest human gathering that the world has witnessed over the past years, which is the Ziyarat Arba'een, an institution leading this gathering must make its preparations for it and develop a comprehensive plan, and we are here today to finalize the plan that was prepared in advance, review and evaluate".

He added that"the forum brought together a group of those interested in medical affairs from the employees of the holy shrine and volunteers from the provinces of the country, as well as volunteers from Arabs and foreigners, to discuss the preparations of medical staff, relief services, medical supplies and medicines that can be provided to the millions of visitors in the Ziyarat Arba'een".

Al-Moussawi stressed the importance of cooperation and joint efforts among all to make this global event a success and to deliver its message to the whole world.

The Department of Medical Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held, on Thursday, the second medical forum to discuss preparations for the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), under the slogan (serving the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother; Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas -peace be upon them- is an honor for us).

The forum was attended by the deputy secretary general of the holy shrine; engineer Abbas al-Mousawi, the director of the Al-Kafeel Hospital; Dr. Jassim Ibrahimi, and a group of specialists and academics.

The head of the department; Dr. Haifa al-Tamimi, said in her speech that "the forum comes from the responsibility entrusted to us to provide the best services, so we had to join hands to perform our humanitarian duty in loyalty to Imam al-Hussayn and the Standard-Bearer of Imam al-Hussayn; al-Abbas (peace be upon them)".

"We have volunteers from (8) provinces with (1000) volunteers from women and men, in addition to the staff of the Health of Karbala, and (15) medical detachments,"she continued.

She stressed the promotion of the visitors' health culture and the assignment of medical and paramedic detachments deployed around the Holy Courtyard and at the entrances of the holy city of Karbala by the health departments in Karbala and the remaining governorates, pointing to the need to reproduce the Hajj experience by accompanying health detachments for visitors from outside Iraq,"she said.
