The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine participates in the commemoration of the ninth anniversary of the genocide against the Yazidi component

The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated in the ceremonies commemorating the ninth anniversary of the genocide against the Yazidi and other Iraqi components.

The holy shrine was represented by the delegation of the Iraqi Center for documentation of crimes of extremism of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, and the commemoration ceremonies were held under the slogan (immortalizing the victims of genocide crimes and consolidating human values).

The ceremony was held under the auspices and in the presence of the prime minister, a number of ministers, parliamentary figures, the special representative of the secretary-general of the United Nations and a large number of ambassadors and representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions.

The director of the Iraqi Center for the documentation of extremist crimes, Dr. Abbas Al-Quraishi, stressed the need to hold such forums in order to shed light on all the victims of extremism and terrorism, and perpetuate their memory.

Al-Quraishi added that recalling what happened to innocent people and the massacres that were committed is important to expose extremists and terrorists and strengthen the Iraqi memory of the devastation and destruction left by these hands, and to prevent the recurrence of these crimes.

The attendees recalled the number of crimes committed by the ISIS terrorist entity against the Yazidi component, the Turkmen component, the victims of the Badush massacre, the Speicher massacre and other crimes committed by the organization and the innocent victims of the Iraqi people.
