The servants of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), commemorated the rituals of the seventh day of the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and his family and companions.
The adviser of the Senior Official of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Sayed Afdhal al-Shami, said that"the servants of the two holy shrines participated in the ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) since the beginning of the month of Muharram, until the seventeenth of Muharram, which marks the seventh day of his martyrdom (peace be upon him)".
"The servants of Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Shrine held a council of condolence with the participation of the servants of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, in the presence of members of the boards of Directors of the two holy shrines and the heads of their departments, to commemorate this occasion,"he added.
For his part, Sayed Mohammed Saleh Dia'-Uddin, from the Sayed Servants' Division at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, said that "the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine has always participated in the ceremonies of commemorating this day, by launching the procession of servants from the shrine of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) towards the shrine of the Master of martyrs Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), carrying candles of condolence and consolation."
He added, "the procession was punctuated by the recitation of many elegies and condolence words consoling the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) with the tragedy of Ashura, after which a condolence council was held in the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)."
