In cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the immigration Department at the Karbala Municipality proceeds with the distribution of a new financial grant to the displaced..

In collaboration with the Relief committee of the displaced at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the Department of Displacement and Migration, branch of Karbala, has proceeded the distribution of new financial grants amounting a million Dinars to the displaced families, which were forced to flee to the holy city of Karbala because of the control of the criminal terrorist gangs on their towns and villages, and who are mostly from the northern provinces, particularly from Ninawa province.

The chairman of the Relief Committee of the Displaced, Mr. Nafi' Ni'mah Al-Moosawi has explained to the Al-Kafeel Network the following: "the work of our committee was not limited to provide housing, food, water and basic supplies for each displaced person, whose number reached nearly 25 thousand displaced, but the committee has also set up coordinated works with security and service departments at the municipality to help the displaced in pension matters. The inventory of the numbers of the displaced has been vested in the Department of Displacement and Migration, the official governmental authority, and the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) have taken care of most of the displaced requirements."

He added: "As a result, and because it has the database special to the registered displaced, the Relief Committee of the displaced contacted directly or through period meetings the department of displacement and migration, to open the opportunity for the distribution of the financial grants for the displaced in a determined place, so it is easier for the displaced to reach it. It was provided by all logistic means to host the staff of the department and the ministry during their shifts in order to expedite the distribution of funds, we have informed the registered displaced families about this place to facilitate the process and reduce the momentum for the rest of distribution outlets."

The Director of Relations and Media at the Department of Displacement and Migration, branch of Karbala, Mr. Haydar Zyadah Al-Rabi'i stated to the Al-Kafeel Network the following: "We appreciate and value the humanitarian and fatherly role played by the Al-Abbass (p) holy shrine since the early days of the displacement movement witnessed by the holy city of Karbala. In fact, it has facilitated many actions for us, as no institution or party can handle this issue alone. The easiness of the distribution of the financial grants for the displaced and the smooth flow of the work is a fruit of its effort in the creation of the place, and providing it with all supplies, and a testament of the right approach to contain this issue. And, as and official department, we continue to provide assistance to the displaced, by the distribution of blankets, food baskets and other materials within our field visits of the displaced camps."
