The condolence procession of the people of Karbala commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth imam of the Ahl al-Bayt; Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him), in the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).
The Karbala condolence processions set off on Sunday morning, heading to the shrine of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and then headed towards the shrine of the Lord of martyrs (peace be upon him) passing through the square between the Two Holy Shrines, to extend condolences on this sad anniversary.
The mourners performed the symbolic funeral ceremony for the coffin of Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him), offering condolences to the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon Him and upon His holy Household) and the immaculate Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), amid an atmosphere of sadness and sorrow, for this sad tragedy.
The condolence processions on the twenty-fifth day of the holy month of Muharram recall the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth imams of guidance; Imam Zayn al-Abideen (may Allah's prayers be upon him).
