The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine sent dozens of tons of food to the city of Amerly, and the combat squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) deployed more than 500 fighters in the vicinity of the city..

In a series of visits made and carried out by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to the city of Amerly, a joint delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the combat squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) visited this steadfast city, in order to provide military, logistical and moral support to the people of the city of Amerly and military units stationed there.

The head of this delegation, member of the Board of Directors of the holy shrine and the supervisor of the combat squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), Mr. Maytham Al-Zaydi explained to the Al-Kafeel Global Network: "After the demise of the siege imposed by the terrorists on this forbearing and steadfast city of Amerly, a plan has been developed for the humanitarian and military relief of the region."

He added: "On the second visit to this city, a plan has been developed to provide logistical support and to deploy combat troops in it, as the holy shrine has dispatched its coordinators in this city to contact and visit the security and administrative units in order to facilitate the delivery of the basic needs, as well as to coordinate with the processions, Hussayni bodies in the neighbouring areas of nearby provinces to provide support."

Explaining: "As for this visit, it comes as sequel to the previous steps, with the deployment of 500 fighters on the borders of this city to be under the command of the military leaders that are out there, in addition to the delivery of dozens of tons of food and their distribution to the people and to the military units deployed in the vicinity of the city."
