The Road to Heaven, Arba'een walking visitors arrive at Al-Deer District

Visitors walking to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), continue their march in the province of Basra.

The visitors arrived at the monastery in Basra, while the Husseini processions began to provide various services to them.

Sheikh Rahim Salem 'Awdeh, from the people of the district, said that"the density of visitors has increased since yesterday, as the number reached its maximum in the Mustafa area, and they will walk about (14 km) to the borders of the district".

"It is difficult to enumerate the hussayni processions that provide services to visitors, as we do not find a separation between one procession and another on the way of the visitors walking to Holy Karbala," he added, pointing out that "the distance between the al-Deer district and holy Karbala is about (450 km)".

The province of Basra is characterized by its many processions that reach the holy city of Karbala with their various services, and they accompany crowds of visitors towards the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon him).

The city of Basra is the southernmost point in Iraq from which visitors depart, and the people of the southern and central provinces join them, respectively.
