The completion of the installation of secondary ceilings' decorations within the stages of the expansion project of the holy shrine..

"The technical and engineering staff have completed the installation of secondary ceilings' decorations made of Fibreglass, within the expansion project of the holy shrine with the roofing of the sanctuary of Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is one of the important stages of this vital project." According to the statement of the head of the department of projects engineering at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh, the direct overseeing body of the design and implementation of all the details of the project.

Adding: "the works of roofing the holy sanctuary are going according to the settled mechanisms and plans, as these works are taking place within the holy shrine, which makes them need special equipment for its installation and require large areas. So, we developed a plan to this phase to not intersect with the movement and the passage of the visitors through dividing the works inside the sanctuary to several stages for the progress of works in same pace as the works of the installation of glass pieces, which the stage that follows the setting up of the secondary ceilings, in order to shorten the time and complete the project as soon as possible. Noting that the employees are giving all their energy for the completion of the roofing project, which runs in parallel with the horizontal expansion project of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine."

He continued: "The works started on the east side (Al-'Alqami door) of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, where the installation of the secondary ceilings of the four large domes and the fourteen small domes has been completed, the fourth stage of this project also included covering the iron bridges from inside, as well as the fixed and mobile parts in the form of Islamic decorations that have been designed with a high accuracy. Noting that the raw material for these pieces is the Fibreglass, which is a strong and light material that is characterized by its solidity and flexibility at the same time, and can bear the extreme weather conditions such as heat, humidity, pressure, etc. And, it is not harmful to environment and has the advantage of isolating the heat and sound, and highly resistant to breaking, pressure, fire and water leakage. We have brought it from South Korea, and the Malaysian DK Company was responsible for cutting it according to the pre-set measurements."

It is noteworthy that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has assigned the company of Ard Al-Quds, which is an Iraqi contracting company based in the holy city of Karbala, to be the responsible of the architectural design and the construction of the expansion of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) by roofing his holy sanctuary, the same company was also entrusted with the implementation of all civil works of the project, starting from casting the concrete pillars that surround the holy sanctuary, along with the electricity works, water networks, fire, sound and lighting systems and the packing operations, etc. in addition to its responsibility of the agreement with foreign companies to implement the iron structure and glass works in coordination with administration of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, under the direct supervision of its department of engineering projects.
